We offer 18-24 month programs with rotations so you can decide which part of the business you connect with most strongly. Choose from:

We’ll provide all the knowledge and experience you need to become one of Telstra’s future leaders. Things like: bi-monthly learning and development workshops; skill building sessions; invaluable hands-on experience on real projects; and plenty of social and networking events.
To help you navigate the many worlds of Telstra you’ll be guided by a dedicated mentor, your manager, a buddy and support from our top Leadership Teams.

To be eligible you must be an Australian or NZ citizen or Australian permanent resident, and have/ will successfully complete a minimum three year undergraduate degree in one of the above areas by Dec 2013.

Probably the most exciting part of the Program is going on rotations. Rotations are designed to enhance your experience in your business area and get you involved in what’s happening. You’ll also have the flexibility to choose areas that reflect your interests and strengths.
There’s only one way to truly understand our customer connected culture – and that’s to see it in action around the company. Enter “The Ride On”, a 1:1 or group experience where you get to spend one day:
- With a field technician
- With contact centre staff
- With T-life store staff
- At our Experience Centre to immerse in Telstra technology.
- At our Global Operations Centre to experience our network functions
Buddy & mentor program
Finding your away around the amazing Telstra landscape is more fun when you’ve got one of our graduate alumni for company. They’ll help you build your knowledge and learn the ropes. After 6 months (once we understand your working habits, skills, and interests) you’ll be matched to your very own senior business mentor who’ll share their knowledge and wisdom so you can develop your full potential.
Orientation On your first day you’ll attend a corporate induction workshop which welcomes you to Telstra and presents the Telstra Corporate strategy, core values and drivers. Following that, you go on a 2-day business- specific induction and get issued with the latest tools of the trade – a laptop, Android smart phone and remote access for flexible working.
Corporate development workshops
You’ll attend 8 bi-monthly day-long face-to-face development courses to help you make a smooth transition into the professional workforce and build a successful career with us. These workshops build critical soft skills – like leadership, customer culture and conflict management.
Alongside corporate development, each business stream also has a structured learning pathway. Some courses are mandatory and others you can choose according to your interests. You’ll also have access to our corporate learning catalogue and the Leadership Connect portal. Some business areas also support you to gain formal qualifications for industry accreditation.
We like to give you a warm welcome to the Telstra family and work environment, so you’ll be guest of honour at our fun orientation evenings which feature kiosks where you can play with our latest technology and welcome drinks with previous graduates. You’ll also have access to our interactive on-boarding portal where you can tap into a 4- hour orientation module and find your on-boarding plan.
