

Group Strategy & Finance (GS&F) is a collection of central functions that play a crucial role in supporting and advising all of NAB’s lines of business globally. The team is responsible for leading Group strategy, managing the Group’s finances and funding activities, analysing the economic and competitive environments, identifying business opportunities and shaping NAB’s brand and reputation among groups such as investors, media and government.
The team is led by NAB’s Executive Director Finance Mark Joiner and comprises a diverse group of functions including Finance, Strategy, Brands and Corporate Affairs, Performance Management and Finance Operations, Treasury, Economics, NextGen Finance, Risk and Customer Analytics, Group Development, Investor Relations and Audit.

The Group Strategy & Finance Graduate Program runs concurrently with the Risk Graduate Program and offers a variety of different business experiences through three rotations across both disciplines.
Graduates receive a comprehensive learning and development program as well as the opportunity to network with senior leaders. We also set regular projects and initiatives for our graduates to enable you to stretch your skills and present to leadership teams. And we offer a Mentoring Program to provide further support and direction as you move into a permanent role.

Our areas of expertise include markets and treasury services, specialised finance such as project finance and structured transactions, loan syndications, securitisation and credit structuring. Our 12 month rotational program includes three rotations to give you exposure to our broad range of products and services. Each placement aims to develop your skills, experience and knowledge and gives you a great opportunity to get involved in ‘real work’ whilst exploring which part of the business is best suited to your career goals. From money markets and foreign exchange trading, to client relationship management and project finance, there are opportunities for graduates from all disciplines and walks of life.
