Your Journey
Year One
Once you’re accepted we’ll be in contact with you about how to prepare yourself for the John Holland National Graduate Program. You’ll attend a meet-and-greet session where you’ll meet current and past graduates as well as managers and other people within the business.
Things kick off with your induction and orientation into our business. You’ll get a basic feel for how things work inside John Holland and on our National Graduate Program. From there you’ll commence work in our business on your first rotation. All of our graduates come together at our National Conference where you’ll also meet senior managers from our business and receive information and skills you’ll need to grow in your first year.
Your first year also includes peer group meetings, communication skills training and a presentation to senior management. Don’t stress – we’ll make sure you’re ready for it all.
Year Two
We’ll continue to provide you with a range of technical skills development via your rotational phases, and more training and development opportunities including coaching and negotiation skills. There will be more opportunities to network with your fellow graduates and you’ll make your final presentation to senior management.
Then, congratulations! You’ve graduated from the John Holland National Graduate Program.
Post Graduate Program
Things don’t end there. We’ll give you the opportunity to continue rotations around our business, to attend Careers Fairs to share your stories with future graduates and to take part in our ongoing relationship with Engineers Without Borders (EWB).
