Audit

The purpose of the Audit division is to provide independent credibility to financial statements, professional advice to management and solutions to improve systems and performance. BDO uses an international audit approach designed to focus on key financial areas and to provide clients with constructive ideas for improving internal controls and business systems.

To us, assurance is more than ticking boxes and ensuring clients are compliant with rules and regulations. It's about helping them ensure that every part of their organisation is fine-tuned to enable them to achieve business objectives. BDO’s Audit team members work closely with our Tax and Corporate Finance specialists. We strongly believe in the 'value add' that should be generated for the audit process.

Business Recovery & Insolvency

Businesses can find themselves in trouble out of no fault of their own or it may be a result of one of the business units taking the entire organisation over the edge. No matter how a business ends up distressed, BDO can help make the best of the situation at hand. This may mean restructuring a business to sell or help it trade out of difficulty, or winding it up as quickly as possible in order to minimise further losses.

We ensure that the right approach is adopted and the best outcomes achieved. As an insolvency practitioner it is important to work cooperatively with our regulators to ensure Australia has an effective and efficient insolvency system. It is important that the framework we operate in minimises loss, ensures assets are returned to the marketplace and provides a process to end the spiral of debt.

Corporate Finance

Whether buying, selling or growing your business the chances are that you will need Corporate Finance advice. BDO Corporate Finance offers the following core services: Corporate advisory, Financial modelling & analysis, Transaction services, Valuation services and Business development.

We understand that different clients require different advice. Therefore we invest time in ensuring that clients receive a service fully tailored to their requirements. Our specialist team are highly trained and experienced in all aspects of corporate Finance. Our 'seamless' integration with other BDO specialists ensures that, if taxation, auditing, accounting or other issue arises we will have an expert on our team to assist. Many of our clients have international connections or aspirations. Through our extensive global network, we are able to provide a cohesive plan that enables clients to take advantage of global opportunities that will enhance their business.

Forensic Services

The BDO Forensic Services team offers specialist advice and services to address issues arising from an increase in the complexity of litigation and fraud. Forensic Services can be clearly divided into three key areas: dispute resolution, fraud prevention and investigation and other services.

Forensic Services matters can be both stressful and costly in terms of time as well as the amounts sought. Our team cut through the jargon and legal process to provide clients with the information they need to move forward. We also work with clients to minimise their risk and to ensure they are protected against future litigation and fraud.

Financial Planning
