We're specifically looking for Engineering graduates with some form of a law background rather than straight law graduates, as we find that having knowledge of engineering gives you the ability to break down the components of a situation or product applying for a patent.

Chris Baxter is the Principal of Baxter IP, Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys, is a Fellow of The Institute of Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia and a Member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association.

Before starting Baxter IP, Chris was an in-house patent attorney at ResMed and has also worked at two large Australian patent and trade mark attorney firms.

Chris is also a Director of Baxter IP Commercialisation Advisors, a full service intellectual property commercialisation consultancy.
