The Australian Bureau of Statistics was another government department with a great building. We will actually upload some pictures of the main foyer when we next get the chance.

The ABS has a slightly different motivation to others departments, their graduate program is all about future leadership and workforce planning because a number of their senior managers are within 10 years of retirement. They hire the majority of grads in Canberra but do have up to 20 grads in regional locaitons and look at a number of diciplines including HR, IT, Maths (primarily stats), Finance, Accounting, Economics and all have a leadership focus.

If you are wanting to move into a leadership role then this could be the graduate program for you, however they are looking for grads that want to stay for a few years to make sure ABS and you get the full benefits from their program.
