Top 100 Graduate Programs and Graduate Employers in the world

Hi guys, the list below is the top 100 graduate employers according to the Times in the UK. The list is for 2009 and is, naturally, slightly biased towards a few english companies. What is awesome though is that a number of graduate employers in this list also offer graduate programs and/or jobs in Australia. I have bolded the ones on the list that offer graduate jobs in Australia, whether as part of a formal graduate program or on an individual basis. If you are looking for things such as overseas transfers and opportunities as a graduate or young professional, these companies would be a great bet. Let me know if I have missed anything companies out

So three of the big four are up the top? Wow. Good to know thanks Mike
That is right Elle,

Remember this is far as the world is concerned, I think in Australia the big 4 accounting frims are all in the top 5 or 6 companies so don't discount the Graduate Opportunites at Ernest and Young when applying

The list above is really good to get a worldwide perspective, but is there an australian only one? it would be great if there is one out there!
Hi Anna,

Not that we can see. There is a lot of research done in the Australian graduate market by a company called the high fliers. They are commissioned to do research by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers. They do not rank employers in a list like this, however the AAGE does offer industry awards to those employers they feel have done an outstanding effort. I do not have the results on me, but will ask Dan to post them up today.

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike:
does all the firms need a acedamic requirement of minimum 65%? is there any chance for results less than 65%?
Hi James,

A number of employers out there have no minimum grade requirements.

If you check out the link here you can see a range of employers that dont' have a grade average cut off.

Just select the industry segment that you want to work in to refine the list further.

Hope it helps you out.

thx dan
hi dan, there is one question i need to ask you about Criminal Conviction, er, it was a horrible mistake, i was charged by drinking driving, will that affect my futher employment of accounting??
Hi Wei,

In regards to a prior conviction such as yours, the best thing to do when progressing through the interview process is to be honest about it and not to hide it.

A friend of mine was in a similar position 3 years ago when applying for graduate positions and discretely told one of the graduate recruitment team about his conviction at all of the interviews that he attended and was offered a position on a major organisations graduate program.

A lot of organisations do conduct police and background checks as part of the hiring process so honesty is the best policy.

Don't let this put you off from applying

Good luck

Coca Cola isn't on this list, but their Finance Graduate program looks great & past grads seem pretty impressed with them... do you know much about it?
Hi Maggie,

I have never had the pleasure of talking to someone in Coco Cola about their graduate program, but it is something I am hoping to do this year Are you talking about graduate opportunities in Australia or abroad?

Looking for Sydney opps. A friend saw them at the Macquarie careers fair, I'm hoping they'll be at UNSW today?
Hi Maggie, we were unable to attend UNSW this year. Was Coco Cola there? Did you get much of a chance to talk to them?

What exactly are you looking for in a graduate program? Anything we can do to help you out?

Cheers,

Mike
