What do we do?
Headed by the Auditor-General, the ANAO is an independent, objective auditor to the Commonwealth public sector. We are proud to be a centre of excellence and integrity in the auditing arena. Our purpose is to provide the Australian Parliament with an independent assessment of selected areas of public administration, and assurance about public sector financial reporting, administration, and accountability. We do this primarily by conducting financial statement and performance audits. We perform the financial statement audits of all Australian Government controlled entities and seek to provide an objective assessment of areas where improvements can be made in public administration and service delivery.
The ANAO Graduate Program gives you hands-on experience with a thorough grounding in technical processes, procedures and an understanding of professional better practice. You will be exposed to a diverse range of clients and complex accounting and auditing issues - the best possible grounding for your professional career
We're looking for grads to join us in the ANAO:
ANAO Assurance Audit Graduate Program: We're looking for approximately 15 grads with accounting backgrounds to join us in the Assurance Audit 2011 Program.
ANAO Performance Audit Graduate Program : The Performance Audit Program is ANAO's more general program where we're looking for approximately 10 graduates from a variety of disciplines to join us in 2011.
